ATLANTA, Ga. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving swept the Atlantic Sun Conference's weekly awards, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Nov. 11). Senior Anna Marcotti was named the Swimmer of the Week, while junior Leigha Travis was named the Diver of the Week.

Asheville picked up a 188-122 win over Davidson at home on Saturday (Nov. 8), pushing it's home winning streak to 15 in a row dating back to Oct. 2020.

Marcotti picked up her first of three individual wins on the day in the 200 free in 1:54.82, before winning the 50 free in 24.71 seconds. Marcotti's third individual win came in the 100 free in 53.13 seconds, before she swam the final leg of the 200 free relay team that won the event in 1:38.55.

"Anna's performances were instrumental in our win over a strong Davidson squad," said assistant coach Zachary Moody. "In each of her races she remained calm and in control, earning hard-fought victories and then refocusing for the next swim."

This is Marcotti's first career Swimmer of the Week honor. The Pordenone, Italy native is a business major.

Travis paced the Bulldogs in both rounds of the 1M diving event on Saturday, posting a score of 243.93 in the first round and a score of 238.95 in the second round for a third-place finish.

"We are super proud of Leigha!" said diving coach Bailey Betzer. "To be named Diver of the Week twice this season is such an amazing feat. She is putting in the work and it's showing. We're excited to continue the season after such an accomplishment!"

This is Travis's second career Diver of the Week honor and her second one this season. The Covington, Ky. native is a mass communications major.

The Bulldogs (2-1) return to the water Nov. 20-23 for the Queens (N.C.) Fall Frenzy in Charlotte.
