CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior midfielder Louis Beckett has been named the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Monday, Oct. 13).

The Bulldogs posted a 3-0 win at Longwood in their only match last week, extending their shutout streak to three in a row in Farmville. Beckett scored his first two goals of the season in the match, including the winner.

This is Beckett's first career Big South Conference weekly honor. The Bridlington, U.K. native is a sport management major.

The Bulldogs (6-4-1, 2-2-0 Big South Conference) return to action next Saturday (Oct. 18) to host Presbyterian for Senior Night. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com. Â
