Women's Golf Announces 2024-25 Schedule
07.08.2024 | Women's Golf
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Golf announced its 2024-25 schedule for the program's third season under head coach Ross Cash.
"The season never really ends for golf coaches with seemingly nonstop recruiting throughout the year, but I am really looking forward to competing again soon with what is almost a new team here in Asheville," said Cash. "We have six new events on the schedule and we start competing right away when the team gets back to campus with the Tiger Invitational at Clemson in late August. We added a huge event to the schedule in the fall at Red Sky Ranch in Walcott, Colorado. Last year 20th-ranked Pepperdine won the tournament and this year will be another elite field, but the tournament we look forward to the most is the French Broad Collegiate Invitational. Being able to play in front of our supporters at Walnut Cove and also live on ESPN+ is an experience like no other all season. I communicate almost daily with the team and it appears everyone is ready to get started."
The season begins at Clemson's Tiger Invitational (Aug. 26), before the Bulldogs head to Murray State's Velvet Classic (Sept. 16-17). Asheville heads west for the Golfweek Red Sky Classic (Sept. 23-25), before heading to College of Charleston's Edisto Island Invitational (Oct. 14-15). The fall season concludes with the Wofford Terrier Invite (Oct. 21-22) and the French Broad Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 28-29).
The spring 2025 slate begins at Charleston Southern's Rivertowne Invitational (Feb. 17-18), before the Bulldogs take on Samford's Huntsville.org Invitational (Mar. 3-4). UAB's Bama Beach Bash will be played Mar. 16-18, before Asheville takes on Kennesaw State's Pinetree Intercollegiate (Mar. 24-25). The regular season concludes at Golfweek's Caledonia Fish and Golf intercollegiate (Mar. 31-Apr. 2), before the Big South Championships Apr. 13-16 at Fripp Island Golf Resort.
