Bulldogs Complete Second Round of Golfweek Intercollegiate

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team wrapped up day two of the Golfweek Intercollegiate on Tuesday and remains in ninth place.
Asheville shot 15-over par on Tuesday and has a two-round score of 594 (29-over).
Beryl Giletti shot a 77 on the day and currently leads the Bulldogs tied in 29th at 6-over par.
Madyson Gold and Phoebe Carles are tied in 34th. Gold shot a 72, a team-low in round two, and Carles shot a 74.
Claudia Salvador shot a 77 and is tied for 49th, and Hailey Pendleton shot a 76 and is tied for 68th.
Salvador led Asheville with three birdies. Gold and Carles had two birdies each.
Following the second round, High Point is in the lead, with Cal Poly dropping to third and Florida Gulf Coast moving to second. Asheville is 23 strokes behind the Panthers.
Giletti led the team with four birdies. Salvador, Carles, and Pendleton each had two birdies.
The Golfweek Intercollegiate will conclude tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3.
