Bulldogs Rout Radford, Win Second Straight Conference Match

RADFORD, Va. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis won its second straight on Saturday (Mar. 30) with a 6-1 rout of Radford in Big South Conference play. Asheville continues a solid first season under Matt Frost, as the Bulldogs start 2-0 in league play for the first time since 2022.
Asheville captured the doubles point with two victories in doubles play, before winning five out of six singles matches to secure the victory.
Cian Ingles and Bruno Serra teamed up for a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles over Robert Hagen and Filippo Maragoni, before Freddy Murray and Sam Nicholson clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 3 over Dominik Wintjes and Evan Edwards. Rafa Serra began singles play with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Charles Courteau at No. 6, while Murray then put Asheville ahead 3-1 at No. 1 with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 over Guilherme Severin. Nicholson went on to beat Tom Saporta 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2, before Bruno Serra beat Edwards 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5. Jon Brann Reid closed things out with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Maragoni at No. 3.
