Salvador Moves Into Top 10; Bulldogs Tied in Seventh

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Claudia Salvador moved into the top 10 in the Lady Bison Classic player leaderboard to help the UNC Asheville women's golf team jump three spots on Saturday and enter the final round of competition tied in seventh.

As a team, the Bulldogs shaved off 17 strokes from Friday's round, shooting a 300. They now have a two-round score of 617 (41-over par) and are tied with North Alabama and one-stroke behind USC Upstate in sixth.

Salvador was 1-over on the day with a second-round score of 73. She is currently 7-over through two rounds with a score of 151.

Beryl Giletti moved up 17 spots and is currently tied for 23rd. Giletti was 2-over on the day, shooting a 74. Madyson Gold moved up 10 spots and is also tied in 23rd. Gold shot a 75 on the day, and both ladies have a two-round score of 154.

Hailey Pendleton moved up two spots and tied in 38th. She shot a 78 on the day and has a 2-round score of 158.

Phoebe Carles is tied in 54th after shooting an 82. She has a two-round score of 164.

The Bulldogs recorded 11 birdies on the day, with Gold leading the way with four. Salvador followed with three, and both Gold and Salvador recorded birdies on holes six, nine, and 18. Giletti recorded two birdies, joining Gold and Salvador with a birdie on nine and grabbing one on 13. Pendleton recorded birdies on hole one and hole eight.
