Asheville Wraps Up Day One of Lady Bison Classic

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team began its second tournament of the week on Friday at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic.

The Bulldogs posted a round one score of 317 (29-over par) and are in 10th place on the leaderboard.

Claudia Salvador leads Asheville after day one with a 78 (6-over par) and is tied in 24th.

Madyson Gold is tied in 33rd with a 79 (7-over par).

Beryl Giletti and Hailey Pendleton are tied in 40th at 8-over par, and Phoebe Carles is tied in 51st at 10-over par.

Gold and Carles recorded the only birdies on the day, with two apiece.
