Bulldogs Extend Winning Streak to Five with Win over ETSU

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis extended its winning streak to five with a 4-1 win over East Tennessee State on Friday (Feb. 9) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown. This marks the first time since 2019 that Asheville has won five in a row, and the first time in program history that Asheville has beaten ETSU.
Asheville captured the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before winning three singles matches to secure the victory.
Bruno Serra and Tarek Erlewein teamed up for a 6-4 win over James Sim and Peter Kalocsai at No. 3 doubles, before Freddy Murray and Sam Nicholson clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Dimitri Badra and Francisco Lamas at No. 2. Jon Brann Reid began singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Kalocsai at No. 3, before Nicholson defeated Badra 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1. Murray clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Adam Nagoudi at No. 2.
