Bulldogs Blank Milligan on Sunday for Sixth Straight Win

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville men's tennis blanked Milligan 7-0 on Sunday (Feb. 11) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown, extending the longest winning streak since 2019 to six.
Asheville captured the doubles point with two wins, before sweeping singles play to complete the shutout.
Freddy Murray and Tarek Erlewein began doubles play with a 6-1 win over Derian Janeke and Justin Rigsby at No. 2, before Jon Brann Reid and Rafa Serra beat Nathan Smiley and Ryan Thomas 6-4 to win the doubles point. Reid defeated Carter Rigsby 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 to open singles play, while Murray beat Stefan Macheiner 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1. Erlewein defeated Gonzaga Lafarga 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3, before Bruno Serra beat Smiley 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4. Rafa Serra took down Kevin Bollman 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, before Cian Ingles closed things out with a 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (3-0) win over Thomas at No. 6.
