LAST TIME OUT
Asheville faced Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 9, in Athens, Ohio, and fell to the Bobcats 82-76.
In the last 11 minutes of the first half, Ohio connected for a 3-pointer to take the lead, and the Bobcats remained in the lead for the rest of the half and almost the entirety of the second half. With 5:34 left in the game, Fletcher Abee connected for a triple to put the Bulldogs ahead by one, but Asheville was unable to build on its lead, as Ohio responded with a three-pointer of its own and went on to earn the victory.
Abee and Josh Banks led Asheville with 20 points each, going 5-for-9 from 3-point range.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
North Florida has had a solid start to its season. The Ospreys are 3-1, with wins over South Carolina, Charleston Southern, and Georgia Tech. Their lone loss thus far was to Georgia this past Tuesday.
Liam Murphy leads the Osprey charge through the first four contests, averaging 16.3 points off the bench and 21 minutes of action per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The two teams' first-ever matchup will be on Monday. It will kick off the first of two games this season as North Florida travels to Kimmel Arena to face the Bulldogs on Tuesday, December 17.
A LOOK AT THE WEEK AHEAD
Asheville has three road games this week, starting with North Florida on Monday before traveling to Conway, Arkansas, to face Southeast Missouri on Friday (Nov. 22) and Central Arkansas on Sunday (Nov. 24).
Asheville's first home contest inside Kimmel Arena will be on Saturday, Dec. 7, against St. Andrews. The Bulldogs will have six home games in Kimmel Arena in December.
