Women’s Golf Signs Sherman to 2025 Recruiting Class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team and head coach Ross Cash has announced the signing of Carly Sherman to their 2025 class.
A Bastrop, Texas, native has won over 50 tournaments in her career. She's played in the Optimist twice, the Notah Begay Championship, has two Prestige Tour wins, has won a Legends Tournament, played in both Jackie Burke and Texas Junior Cup matches and has been nominated for the South Texas PGA Golfer of the Year. Sherman has qualified for state, is a three-time district winner and has qualified for the Houston Open pro-am and Insperity Pro-am.
Sherman chose Asheville because of the team, coaches, facilities and the opportunities through the education and athletic departments.
"Carly is first and foremost the high character type of person we recruit here," said Cash. "She will fit in perfectly with her new teammates come Fall 2025. Carly is a great player and a hard worker. We welcome her to Bulldog Nation."
