Women's Soccer Falls at USC Upstate on Senior Day

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Soccer fell at USC Upstate by a score of 2-0 on Senior Day on Saturday (Oct. 19).

USC Upstate scored the game's first goal in the eighth minute, before the teams traded chances throughout the first half as Upstate led 1-0 at the half.

The Bulldogs would create chances to attempt to break through the Spartans back line, but Asheville's attempts were unsuccessful. An Upstate goal in the 75th minute brought the match to its final score.

Asheville totaled five shots in the match with one on goal, with Addie Cooper leading the offense with two shots. Manuela Schreier, Reina Herndon and Akari Kishida each had one shot in the match for the Bulldogs. Gracie Murray made three saves between the pipes.
