Men's Tennis Drops Season Opener to Charlotte on Sunday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis dropped its 2024 season opener to Charlotte on Sunday (Jan. 21) by a score of 5-2.
Asheville dropped the doubles point despite a 6-2 win by Rafa Serra and Jon Brann Reid over Vasco Prata and Frederic Schlossman. Freddy Murray earned a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 win over Matias Iturbe at No. 1 singles, while Tarek Erlewein earned a win by retirement over Prata at No. 4 after taking the first set 6-4. Â
