Women's Golf Inks Transfer Presley Pickron to 2023 Recruiting Class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's golf has announced the signing of transfer Presley Pickron to its 2023 recruiting class, announced today (Wednesday, May 24) by head coach Ross Cash.
Pickron comes to Asheville from Mesa Community College, where she participated in 10 tournaments and 18 rounds where she posted a team-best 78.00 scoring average. Pickron was a First Team All-Conference selection in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference, while also being a First Team All-Region 1 selection this past season.
"I probably get 10 'Coach you need to take a look at this golfer' calls a day but the one regarding Presley came from one of my former players that has a keen sense of knowing what I think is important," said Cash. "Presley has all of these attributes. She has great technique and great balance combined with an effortless accumulation of speed with her full swing and deadly technique and great imagination with her short game and putting and doesn't have any fear of going low. Presley will be a great teammate."
Pickron is a native of Gilbert, Ariz. With two older brothers. She intends to study broadcast journalism at Asheville.
