05.22.2023 | Women's Golf

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's golf has added transfer Beryl Giletti to the 2023-24 recruiting class, announced today (May 22) by head coach Ross Cash.

Giletti played the past two seasons at Division II Columbus State University, where she played in nine tournaments and 25 rounds as sophomore for the Cougars. This past season, she posted a low 36-hole total of 146 and a low round of 71, while also posting four rounds of par or better for a team-low 75.60 scoring average. She also posted six Top-20 finishes on the season, including four Top-10 finishes. She finished tied for ninth at the Low Tide Intercollegiate (Feb. 27-28, 2023), tied for fourth at the Savannah Lakes Invitational (Sept. 19-20, 2022) and tied for fourth at the City with Spirit Classic (Sept. 26-27, 2022). Her one-under 71 came in the first round of the Savannah Lakes Invitational (Sept. 19-20, 2022), tying for second-lowest round on the team this season. She also netted even-par 72 in the second round of the City with Spirit Classic (Sept. 26-27, 2022), the second round LeeAnn Noble Memorial (Oct. 10-11, 2022) and the first round of the Low Tide Intercollegiate (Feb. 27-28, 2023) tying for fifth-lowest round on the team.

"I've actually known Beryl for three years and have always really wanted her to play for me," said Cash. "Beryl is a committed and serious golfer and she will make an immediate impact on our program both culturally and of course (since this is team golf) mathematically. We are very excited she is a Bulldog."

Giletti is a native of Houilles, France.
