Kayla Benge Named Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior Kayla Benge has been named the Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league today (Thursday, Apr. 6).
Benge helped the Bulldogs to their third consecutive top-five finish as a team, as the Bulldogs finished fifth at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate. Benge notched the best finish of her career finishing in third individually, making her first career Top-10 finish and her third career Top-20 finish. She posted 73-74-75 in the tournament for a total of 222 (+6), tying the 12th-lowest 54-hole total in program history.
This is Benge's first career Golfer of the Week honor.
Benge is a native of Plainfield, Ind., and is also a management major.
