Madyson Gold Named Second Team All-Conference, Hailey Pendleton Named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior golfer Madyson Gold was named to the Big South Conference All-Conference Second Team, while sophomore Hailey Pendleton was named to the All-Academic Team, announced by the league today (Apr. 17). Â
Gold notched four top-five finishes in 10 tournaments this season, including Asheville's first ever individual tournament win at the Low Country Intercollegiate. She ranked 10th in the Big South Conference in scoring average this season at 75.14, which is a new Asheville program single-season record. Gold also set a program record this year for birdies in a single season (75) and tied the program record for low round with a 67 (-3) at the Jupiter Women's Invitational. She was also named the Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Mar. 23.
This is Gold's first career All-Conference honor. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native is a mass communication major.
Pendleton represents Asheville on the All-Academic Team this year, posting a 3.48 grade point average in biology.
This is Pendleton's first career All-Academic Team honor. She is a native of Matthews, N.C.
