Madyson Gold Named Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior Madyson Gold has been named the Big South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league today (Thursday, Mar. 23).

Gold made program history over the weekend at Wofford's Low Country Intercollegiate, winning both her first career individual tournament title and the first individual tournament title in UNC Asheville women's golf program history. She led at +1 after one day, before finishing with a +3 75 to finish atop the leaderboard at +4.

This is Gold's second career Player of the Week honor. Gold is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and is a mass communications major.

The Bulldogs return to the course on Monday (Mar. 27) for the Golfweek Intercollegiate at Caledonia Fish & Golf in Pawleys Island, S.C. Live results will be available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
