No. 15 Seed Men’s Basketball Draws No. 2 Seed UCLA in NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 15 seed UNC Asheville men's basketball team will open play in the NCAA Tournament against No. 2 seed UCLA in the Round of 64 in the West Regional on Thursday, March 16, in Sacramento, California. Tip-off between the Bulldogs and Bruins is set for 10:05 p.m. eastern time on truTV.

Asheville earned a No. 15 seed after capturing the Big South Regular Season and Tournament Championships. The Bulldogs finished the 2022-23 campaign with a school record 27 victories on their way to a 27-7 record overall that included a 16-2 mark in Big South play. The Bulldogs will be making their fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their first since 2016.

UCLA will be making its third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins are 29-5 this season and have won 12 of their last 13 games to close out the 2022-23 campaign.
