Women's Golf Announces Addition of Claudia Salvador

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Golf has added Central Michigan standout Claudia Salvador as a mid-year transfer, announced today (Wednesday, Nov. 8) by head coach Ross Cash.
Salvador comes to Asheville after a four-year playing career at Central Michigan University. She appeared in 26 tournaments and 71 rounds as a Chippewa, posting a career scoring average of 78.2 which is fourth on CMU's all-time career list. She is tied for fifth all-time in program history with three Top-10 finishes, while shooting four rounds in career at par or better. She has the third-best career finish percentage in program history at 62.2 percent, while also posting one individual win at Purdue Fort Wayne's Mastadon Fall Invitational (Oct. 14-15, 2019). She earned Academic All-MAC honors as a senior.
"Claudia Salvador is a person of immense excellence," said Coach Cash. "She makes our team better immediately through golf, but also with maturity level and sheer desire to accomplish something great as a team. She graduated with a 3.97 in mechanical engineering and is a D1 individual tournament winner. I'm very excited to call her a Bulldog."
