Three Bulldog Women's Soccer Players Earn All-Conference Honors

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Soccer senior forward Kaiya Boyd and junior defender Anna Doane each earned Big South Conference All-Conference Second Team honors while sophomore goalkeeper Gracie Murray was named to the All-Academic Team, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Oct. 31).
Boyd appeared in 16 matches during her senior season, making 15 starts. Boyd was tied for second on the team with four goals, while also finishing second on the team in assists with three for 11 total points, third on the team.
This is Boyd's second career All-Conference honor. The Cranston, R.I. native is a psychology major.
Doane did not come off the field on the back line for the Bulldogs, playing every minute of 16 matches. She tallied two goals and two assists for six points on the season, while helping anchor the Asheville defense to five shutouts.
This is Doane's second career All-Conference honor. The Jackson, Mich. native is an environmental science major.
Murray was the main goalkeeper for Asheville this season, playing and starting in 14 matches posting a 5-6-3 with four shutouts. Murray finished the season sixth in goals against average (1.15), fifth in saves (64) and third in save percentage (.800). On the academic side, Murray posts a 4.0 GPA in environmental sciences. She is a native of Harrisburg, N.C.
