Women's Golf Finishes Second Round at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational

MANOA, HAWAII - UNC Asheville Women's Golf finished its second round at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 24).
Madyson Gold sits in a tie for 19th individually after a +4 76, while Phoebe Carles shaved five strokes off her first round with a +3 75. Hailey Pendleton and Amber Capote each carded a +5 77, while Presley Pickron turned in an 81 and Beryl Giletti carded an 83 on the day. Ally Kerr also shaved nine strokes off her first round to turn in an 80 on the day.
Gold's day began with a double bogey on No. 8, before she made the turn to the back after a par on No. 9. After a bogey on No. 10, Gold made par on the next four holes before making bogey on No. 15 and No. 16. She would make the turn back to the front after pars on No. 17 and No. 18. Gold cruised through the front nine with six pars and a birdie to conclude her second round.
Carles began her day on No. 10 with a string of six consecutive pars, before finishing the round with a bogey on No. 16, a birdie on No. 17 and a par on No. 18. She began the front with a bogey on No. 1, before making par on the next two holes. She made bogey on No. 4, par on No. 5 and a bogey on No. 6 before finishing her round with three straight pars.
Pendleton's day began on No. 11 with a string of seven straight pars, before making the turn after a double bogey on No. 18. After a bogey on No. 1 and a birdie on No. 2, Pendleton posted three straight pars and a bogey on No. 6. She finished her round with a par on No. 7, a bogey on No. 8, a par on No. 9 and a bogey on No. 10.
Capote's day began with pars on No. 18 and No. 1, before back-to-back bogeys on No. 2 and No. 3. After a birdie on No. 4, Capote would par No. 5 and make a birdie on No. 6. She would make the turn to the back after a triple bogey on No. 7, a bogey on No. 8 and a par on No. 9. She began the back with a bogey on No. 10 and a birdie on No. 11, before making par on the next two holes. She made bogey on No. 14, a par on No. 15 and a birdie on No. 16 before finishing her round with a bogey on No. 17.
