Swimming & Diving Closes Out the Regular Season This Weekend

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville swimming & diving team will close out its regular season this weekend. First, Asheville's divers will take on Cumberlands and VMI at 4 p.m. on Friday from the Jewish Community Center in Asheville. That will be followed by swimmers taking on VMI and Emory & Henry at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Justice Center Pool. Both competitions will open with senior day celebrations and Saturday's action can be seen on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – The Bulldogs defeated Georgia Southern by a score of 233.5-119.5 last weekend. With the victory. Asheville is now 7-0 this season and 24-1-1 in dual meets since November 2019.
Carlton Named CCSA Swimmer of the Week – Earlier this week, Delaney Carlton was named the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Swimmer of the Week. It marks the fifth time in her career that Carlton has earned this honor.
Unbeaten for Second Straight Season – Asheville has an opportunity to achieve its second straight undefeated season this weekend. The Bulldogs, who went 8-0 last season, have not lost in a dual meet since October 2020 against Liberty.
Salute to the Seniors – This weekend's competitions will be the final home appearances for Asheville's 2022-23 seniors. This year's seniors include Jessica Brock, Meredith Bunting, Delaney Carlton, Lexi Federico, Jessie Frank, Mikaela Fullerton, Christa Jones, Nora Segurola Larrinaga, and Bela Stuart.
