Sophomore carded fourth Top-15 finish this season

ASHEVILLE N.C. – Registering three top-30 finishes and capping off the month with a T-11 at the Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate, golf's Venecia Zaia has been named the March "Bulldog of the Month" presented by Zaxby's.

Zaia opened up the month with a T-27 finish at the Rivertowne Invitational, shooting 75 and 76 in her final two rounds to kick off the spring campaign. The Murrieta, California native was locked in during the Low Country Intercollegiate, firing a 79, 3-over-par 75 and a 79 to register her second straight top-30 finish.

The sophomore wrapped up the month in even stronger fashion, opening the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate with a 2-over-par 74, shooting 74 in round two before recording another 74 in the third and final round, missing a T-7 finish by just two strokes. The 11^th-place finish was Zaia's fourth Top-15 of the 2021-22 season and fifth of her young career.
