White Out
Saturday's doubleheader will be a "White Out" with the first 1,000 fans in attendance receiving a free UNC Asheville Athletics white t-shirt. All fans, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear white as we make Saturday a "White Out"!

Senior Day
Saturday will mark Senior Day for men's basketball, as the program will honor Quay Kimble, Deacon Heath, Luke Lawson, Coty Jude, LJ Thorpe and Tajion Jones. With the exception of Kimble - who joined this season after four at Lees-McRae - the other five players were all on Coach Mike Morrell's first team in 2018-19. The five players were a part of one of the biggest turnarounds in college basketball, going from four wins in 18-19 to 15 wins in the 19-20 season. The original five have combined for 44 wins during their tenure including a 9-5 conference mark in a COVID-shortened 2019-20 season. The 9-5 mark represented the sixth-best conference record in terms of winning percentage in the last 15 seasons and allowed Asheville to host a Big South Quarterfinal at Kimmel Arena for the first time since 2018. Kimble himself has been a welcome addition to the Bulldogs this season, bringing steady minutes, 3-point shooting and experience to the roster.

$5 February, Homecoming & Salute to Service Saturday
This Saturday is also UNC Asheville's "Homecoming." There will be a food truck tailgate with beer and wine tents along with a Bulldog Block Party on Alumni Way from noon to 2:00 p.m. A reminder, tickets for all basketball games this month are just $5 as a part of UNC Asheville's "$5 February" promotion. To purchase tickets ahead of time, click here. Additionally, any active or retired member of the military will receive free admission with a valid military ID.

Last Time Out
The Bulldogs visited Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night, and despite their best efforts, were edged out in the final seconds 60-59. LJ Thorpe set up a lob to Pember for the two-point advantage, but the Runnin' Bulldogs were awarded two free throws the next time down the court, hitting one of two to ultimately set up a D'Maurian Williams game-winner. Asheville, which was held without a 3-pointer in the first half, knocked down four in the second, including three by Thorpe who finished the game with 15 points.

Series History
Asheville has gotten the better of Presbyterian historically, winning 24 of 37 matchups over the years. Not meeting last season due to COVID, January's 68-67 victory in Clinton moved head coach Mike Morrell's record to 2-4 all-time against the Blue Hose, with the Bulldogs claiming the last two contests. Asheville has fared well at Kimmel Arena, going 6-2 since the facility opened in the 2011-12 season.

Scouting the Blue Hose
Presbyterian enters Saturday on a high note, defeating Charleston Southern 68-48 to snap a five-game skid. Rayshon Harrison leads the Blue Hose offense (16.8 ppg) with Winston Hill averaging 11.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. In January's matchup, it was Hill that carried the load, scoring 29 points to go with eight rebounds, while Asheville limited Harrison to just 10 points – three of which came as an uncontested three to end the game. Perimeter defense has been the strength of Presbyterian, ranking 21st in total steals (241) and 36th in steals per game (8.0).
