Leading the league in conference scoring (19.6 ppg), the Knoxville, Tennessee, native continues to be a force on the defensive end as well, ranking fourth in the country with 83 blocks (7th with 3.3 blocks per game), swatting 34 shots in Big South contests.
Seniors Stepping Up
LJ Thorpe has been on a tear of late, scoring 16 or more points in five of his last six games, including 28-point and 23-point efforts at Presbyterian and High Point. The senior from West Palm Beach, Florida, has particularly stepped up his game since conference play began, ranking eighth in league scoring (14.6), fourth in field goal percentage (51.2) and seventh in assists per game (3.7). Fellow senior Tajion Jones has remained a focal point of the Bulldog lineup as well, grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game (5th, Big South) while knocking down 2.3 threes per game (6th, Big South).
