Promotions: UNC Asheville Athletics is continuing its Toy Drive on Wednesday sponsored by Ingles and Eblen Charities. Fans that bring a toy valued at $5 or higher will receive a free ticket to not only the men's game but also the women's game vs. Furman that follows. Santa will also be at the games from 5:30 to 7:30 and will be joined by several mascots from the community as we celebrate Rocky's birthday.
Last Time Out – The Bulldogs picked up a 90-83 win over UT Martin last Saturday at home. With Saturday's win, Asheville is now 5-3 on the season.
Home Sweet Home – If Asheville knocks off the Owls on Wednesday, it'll finish up its home non-conference record at a perfect 4-0. It'll mark the first season that the Bulldogs haven't dropped a non-Big South game at home since 2017-18.
Fine Day from the Free Throw Line – Drew Pember went a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line in Saturday's win over UT Martin. Pember is the fifth Bulldog ever to have a perfect day from the line on 12 or more attempts and the first since MaCio Teague also went 12-for-12 in 2017 at Charleston Southern. Dating back to the Western Carolina game, Pember has knocked 20 straight free throws.
Tajion nears 3-point record – With a trio of makes from beyond the arc on Saturday, Tajion Jones is now just 11 3-pointers away from becoming UNC Asheville's all-time 3-point leader. Additionally, Jones needs just 12 more points to become the seventh Bulldog to ever score 1,600 points and the first to do so since Ahmad Thomas in 2018.
About Warren Wilson – Warren Wilson is 1-9 so far this season with its lone win coming against Brevard in mid-November, 87-81. The Owls are led by a pair of double figure scorers in Jeremiah Daye (15.9 PPG) and O'Darius Cade (11.9 PPG).
Series Rewind vs. Owls – Asheville and Warren Wilson have met twice over the years and the Bulldogs have come away with the win each time. The last time these two programs matched up was in 2016 when Asheville downed the Owls, 117-52.
