Cremins and Antonelli highlight second annual Celebration on the Court

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Athletics hosted its second annual "Celebration on the Court" event Thursday night at Kimmel Arena. The event, which was sponsored by Kimmel & Associates, featured college basketball coaching legend Bobby Cremins as the keynote speaker and college basketball analyst Debbie Antonelli emceeing for the second consecutive year.
All the proceeds from Celebration on the Court, which serves as a tip-off event for the start of Bulldog basketball, will directly benefit UNC Asheville student-athletes.
"It was a great way to open the basketball season," said UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "Having Debbie Antonelli back to emcee this event was outstanding and having Coach Cremins here to share some stories from his coaching career made for a wonderful evening. We are grateful to the sponsors, donors, and Bulldog fans that attended and can't wait to see them back in Kimmel Arena this season. Go Bulldogs."
Celebration on the Court began with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner for all the attendees. During dinner, Antonelli spoke to both Bulldog Head Basketball Coaches - Honey Brown (women's) and Mike Morrell (men's) and a couple of players from each team.
Cremins wrapped up the event by sharing tales from his coaching days and his thoughts on the state of college basketball moving forward.
