Ami Grace Dougah named Women's Tennis Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After going undefeated in both singles and doubles matches last weekend, Ami Grace Dougah was named the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week from January 17-23.
Dougah went a perfect 2-0 in singles play, with a 6-0, 6-2 victory on Saturday against Tusculum at the No. 2 position, and a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Lees-McRae on Sunday at the No. 1 spot.
Teamed up with Rosie Dickson as the No. 1 doubles pair, Dougah earned a 6-2 victory against Tusculum, followed by a 6-1 victory against Lees-McRae, moving the duo's record to 9-3 all-time.
The junior from Lawrenceville, Georgia earned First Team All-Conference Singles and Doubles honors last season, and has a career 20-5 singles record, matched with a 16-5 doubles record.
Dougah and the Bulldogs go back to work on Saturday in Greensboro as they take on UNCG at 1:00 p.m.
