Where they Rank
Despite dropping contests at Winthrop and against USC Upstate last week, the Bulldogs still rank fourth in the league in scoring through four games with 73.8 points per contest. Additionally, Asheville leads the Big South with 9.4 three-pointers per game, ranks first in three-point defense at 26.4 percent allowed, first in blocked shots with 5.6, and third in scoring offense at 76.0 points per game.

1,000-Point Club
On Saturday, LJ Thorpe joined his teammate Tajion Jones in the 1,000-point career point club at UNC Asheville, becoming the 37th player in program history to score 1,000 or more points. Thorpe, who was also the 23rd player to do it in the Division I era, is just five rebounds shy of 400 for his career.

Leading the Way
Alongside Thorpe's 16.5 points per game last week, Drew Pember led the Bulldog offense, scoring 23 points at Winthrop before matching his career-high with 27 points against USC Upstate. The junior nearly registered a pair of double-doubles in the process, snagging 17 rebounds in the process. Pember, who is averaging 20.8 points per game in Big South contests, continues to top the league in blocks (64) and blocks per game (3.76), ranking fourth in the country through Monday.

Scouting the Aggies
North Carolina A&T enters Wednesday with an overall record of 8-10, but is off to a strong start in conference play (3-1) posting victories over Radford, Presbyterian and Hampton. The Aggies, who most recently fell at High Point, are led by Marcus Watson's 12.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. A strength of the Aggies is their perimeter defense, ranking 16th in the country in steals (156) with Kameron Langley totaling 27 thus far. Langley is also a key cog of the N.C. A&T offense, dishing out 89 assists and averaging a league-best 5.2 assists per game. In conference play, the Aggies are allowing just 66.5 points per game (4th), holding opponents to just 40.4 percent shooting (2nd).
