Big South Releases Men's and Women's Tennis Preseason Polls

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South announced its preseason polls for the 2022 season, with the men picked to finish tied for fourth with Gardner Webb, while the women were picked to finish fifth.
Both teams boast seven returning players each from the previous season, one in which the men entered the Big South Tournament as the number one seed, while the women welcome back three All-Conference performers, including the 2021 Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year, senior Lize Alet Morkel. The Fall Season was a welcome sight for both teams after the absence of one in 2020, with the men competing in four tournaments, while the women played in three.
The women face Tusculum University on January 22 while the men open up their spring campaign on on January 26th when they host Montreat College. Both squads are slated to begin Big South play in late February.
