ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The close of summer brought the return of Bulldog Athletics, as men's and women's soccer and volleyball returned to action in their designated seasons. While women's soccer has four games in the books already, men's soccer and volleyball each kicked things off last week. In honor of the return to campus and fall athletic seasons, it's time to vote for your August "Bulldog of the Month," presented by Zaxby's.

Men's Soccer – Conor Behan – Sophomore – Midfield/Forward – Dublin, Ireland
· Had goal and assist in season-opening win over Northern Kentucky
· Goal against Northern Kentucky proved to be game winner
· Started two games (NKU and N.C. State), totaling five shots with two on frame and one hit the post
· Named Big South Offensive Player of the Week (August 30)
Women's Soccer – Taylor Gardner – Freshman – Forward – Cherry Hill, N.J.
· Scored the first goal of the season for Asheville (at Western Carolina)
· Started two games while appearing in all four
· Totaled three shots with one on frame
Volleyball – Peyton McClinton – Senior – Outside Hitter – Louisville, Ky.
- Led the Bulldogs with 37 kills over the course of two matches at Davidson's Wildcat Classic
- Logged a 19-kill, 13-dig outing vs. Davidson before picking up another double-double with an 18-kill, 16-dig performance vs. Western Carolina
- After the first week of play, McClinton paced the Big South with those 37 kills and was named to the Wildcat Classic All-Tournament Team for her performances
