Big South announces Fall 2021 Women’s Soccer Preseason Poll and Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference released its 2021 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll on Wednesday afternoon, with the Bulldogs picked 10th.
High Point led the way with 118 points and eight first-place votes, while Campbell checked in at 111 points and two first-place votes. Sam Gerhart of High Point was named preseason attacking player of the year, while Laney Peabody of Campbell was named preseason defensive player of the year.
Radford (95), Longwood (86) and Gardner-Webb (73) rounded out the top five, with Presbyterian (65), Winthrop (51) Charleston Southern (46) and USC Upstate (30) slated five through nine. Asheville, which won two of its last four games in the spring, checked in with 29 total points, while Hampton totaled 22.
