Women’s Golfer finished T-14 at Big South Championship
ASHEVILLE N.C. – Finishing T-14 at the Big South Women's Golf Championship, Madyson Gold has been named the UNC Asheville April Bulldog of the Month presented by Zaxby's.
The competition, which included eight total contestants, garnered over nearly 2,000 total votes, with Gold collecting just edging out the competition.
Leading the charge for the Bulldogs, Golf opened up with a round one, 3-over-par 75 at the Big South Women's Golf Championship at The Patriot at Grand Harbor. The freshman from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, matched her round one performance with another 3-over-par 75 in the second round.
Gold would close out her rookie campaign with one of her stronger 18's of the season, shooting a 2-over-par 74 to finish 8-over-par (228) for the tournament, birdieing holes No. 1, No. 16 and No. 18.
