ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Head Women's Basketball Coach Honey Brown announced the addition of transfer McKinley Brooks-Sumpter (Columbia, S.C.) on Monday. Brooks-Sumpter joins the Bulldogs after spending the 2020-21 season playing for USC Upstate where she garnered All-Big South Freshman Team honors.

"McKinley is a great addition to our team," said Brown. "She is a proven winner and scorer in the Big South. I am excited to have the opportunity to build on her game in the future. We had the opportunity to recruit McKinley when she was in high school and she even attended our camp. She has always been a hard worker who really loves the game. Our Bulldog family is extremely happy she is joining us!"
