Men’s Tennis to host UNC Greensboro on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team is set to take the court on Saturday, hosting UNC Greensboro. The Bulldogs were originally slated to host Belmont, but the Bruins could not make the trip due to weather conditions in Tennessee.
The match with UNC Greensboro marks the first official contest of the spring 2021 season for Asheville, having only participated in a scrimmage with Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian earlier this month. Like the Bulldogs, the Spartans have not played an official match this season, as February 14th's originally scheduled contest against Asheville was postponed due to COVID reasons.
In 2019-20, the Bulldogs had posted a record of 8-6 overall and was 1-0 against conference opponents, grabbing a 4-3 victory over Winthrop. The men's squad won five of its last six matches, topping Keiser 4-3 before the season was unfortunately cut short.
UNC Greensboro was 5-5 last season, posting victories over the Big South's Winthrop (5-2) and Presbyterian (4-3).
