Women’s Golf finishes play at Terrier Intercollegiate; Gold finishes ninth

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team wrapped up play in the 2021 Terrier Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon, with sophomore Madyson Gold finishing in ninth place individually.
A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Gold fired a career-low 2-under-par 70 in her opening round Monday, finishing with a round-two 74 and a round-three 77 to secure her second top-10 finish of her young career.
Phoebe Carles opened with a pair of 77's and closed with an 80, while Venecia Zaia carded a round-three 79 on Tuesday with Hailey Pendleton rounding out the scoring. As a team, UNC Asheville opened with a 300, posting a 313 in round two and a 316 on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs will find themselves in a familiar place when they tee it up next, hosting the French Broad Collegiate Invitational from November 8-10.
