Bulldogs Set for Tournament in Hawaii

KANE'OHE, O'AHU, Ha. – UNC Asheville's women's golf team is set for the 35th-annual Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii, March 10-11.

The first two rounds of competition will be played Tuesday, March 10, with the final 18 holes scheduled for Wednesday, March 11. Both days of competition will begin with a shotgun start at 8:05 a.m. local time.

The Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational is played at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course, featuring a 6,099-yard, par-72 layout.

Also competing in the tournament is host Hawaii, Arizona State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Montana State, Nevada, Ohio State, Osaka Gakuin, San Diego State, Seattle, Stetson, TCU, UTEP, Xavier and Yale.

This will be the third tournament of the spring and eighth of the season for the Bulldogs. They are coming off a 46th-place finish at the 53-team Kiawah Island Spring Classic, hosted by College of Charleston, last weekend.

Senior Adelyn Deery fired the lowest round of the season at Kiawah Island in the first round with a 73. Her average round score this season is 79.24, which is just behind senior Kellen Alsip's 79.06 per round score.
