UNC Asheville to Help Host National Girls and Women in Sports Day

ASHEVILLE – UNC Asheville Athletics is proud to help host National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Saturday, February 29, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
UNC Asheville Athletics is again teaming up with Asheville Parks and Recreation and Buncombe County Recreation Services to put on the National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which will be held on the UNC Asheville intramural field and the SRC basketball courts.
The Bulldogs women's soccer team, basketball team and cheer and dance team will be participating in sessions throughout the day, teaching fundamentals of their sports and offering fun instruction to the participants.
The purpose behind the event is to expose women and girls to a variety of activities that will inspire them to lead active, healthy lifestyles. The cost is $10 per person, and each ticket offers the participant three clinics from a variety to choose from, as well as a healthy lunch and a goody bag.
Participants will select their clinic choices on the day of the event, and registration is available HERE.
