Bulldogs Wrap Up First Round of Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

GREENSBORO, Ga. – UNC Asheville's women's golf team opened its first round of the spring, completing the first 18 holes of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, Friday, at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
The Bulldogs finished the first day of competition in 14th place, finishing at 53-over-par with a cumulative score of 341. The Bulldogs finished seven strokes behind 13th-place Albany.
Senior Adelyn Deery finished as the Bulldogs top scorer with a first-round score of 82, tied for 54th among individuals. She scored two birdies on the day, carding a two on the par-3 seventh hole. She also birdied the par-5 14th hole.
Sophomore Baylee Evans finished just behind Deery with a score of 83, tied at 59th among individuals. She too birdied the seventh hole, and also scored a three on the par-4 12th hole.
The Bulldogs return to action, Saturday, and will play with Albany, as well as individuals from other participating teams. The Bulldogs will tee off from holes 14-17 to begin the second round of action.
