The Bulldogs were able to cut it to single digits as they were down 38-29 at halftime. Jordan-Brown scored another five points in the quarter to give herself 10 after the first 20 minutes of play.

UNC Asheville mimicked their first quarter performance in the third as they beat Hampton 18-16 in the quarter. Hampton threatened to pull away multiple times but the Bulldogs kept the game close as UNC Asheville only had a seven point deficit after the first three quarters.

Hampton continued building their lead in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs scored 19 in the quarter but the Pirates scored 22 to solidify the victory. UNC Asheville was down by 16 with 1:16 left to play but cut the deficit to 10 as time expired.
