Return Trip to Charleston on Deck for Bulldogs

GAME NOTES | at CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
CHARLESTON, S.C. – UNC Asheville's men's basketball team returns to the road when it travels to Charleston Southern for a Big South Conference clash set for 5:30 p.m., Saturday, January 11, at Buccaneer Fieldhouse.
The matchup will be the second game of a doubleheader at Buccaneer Fieldhouse, with Charleston Southern's women's team set to play at 3 p.m.
This will be the second trip to Charleston this season for the Bulldogs, as they traveled to The Citadel, November 9, and emerged with 91-76 victory – their first of the season.
The Bulldogs (6-7, 0-2 Big South) return to action after hosting Campbell, Wednesday night, at Kimmel Arena. The Dogs overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to tie the game in the late stages, but ultimately fell, 64-62.
The Buccaneers (7-8, 1-2 Big South) played Wednesday night at home as well, falling 74-56 to Longwood. They opened the conference season at home, January 2, with an 89-75 victory against USC Upstate.
UNC Asheville holds a 45-38 lead in the all-time series, though Charleston Southern won both meetings a season ago. Prior to that, Asheville had won seven straight matchups in the series. The last time the Bulldogs played at Charleston Southern, Feb. 27, 2019, the Bucs won 77-48. The Bulldogs' last victory in the series came in the 2018 Big South Conference Tournament with a 71-66 win at Kimmel Arena.
