Diving to Compete at Georgia Southern Saturday

STATESBORO, GA. – The Bulldog divers will represent UNC Asheville's swim and dive team Saturday, January 18, when they travel to Statesboro, Ga., to compete in the Georgia Southern Diving Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
So far, the 2019-20 season has been a record-breaking year for UNC Asheville diving. Freshman Jessica Brock has set school records in both the one meter and three meter diving events. Brock set the three-meter school and freshman record with a score of 158.25 versus Liberty in October. The one-meter diving school and freshman records were set by Brock versus Georgia Southern in November with a score of 173.90.
UNC Asheville swimming and diving defeated Georgia Southern, 192-108, in a meet at the Jewish Community Center and the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center, Nov. 1 and 2. In addition to Brock setting the school and freshman record in the one-meter dive with a score of 173.90, Megan Almond dove in the event and finished with a score 113.10 while Liv Pattimore made her Bulldog debut with a score of 68.35.
UNC Asheville will return to the pool next weekend for their Senior Day celebration as they host North Florida, Saturday, January 25.
