Brock Sets UNC Asheville Diving Record in Saturday Meet

STATESBORO, GA. – The divers from UNC Asheville's swim and dive team competed against Georgia Southern in the Georgia Southern Diving Invitational, Saturday, in Statesboro, Ga.
Jessica Brock led the UNC Asheville dive team by setting a UNC Asheville school record in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. She scored a 184.50 in the one-meter prelims and a 175.46 in one-meter finals. Brock's score of 184.50 in the one-meter dive prelims is now the highest score ever recorded by a UNC Asheville diver in the one-meter event. Brock wasn't done there as she went on to once again plant herself in the Bulldog record book by earning a score of 182.76 in the three-meter dive as well. Both scores of 184.50 (one-meter) and 182.76 (three-meter) are now UNC Asheville school and freshman records as well as personal bests for Brock.
Megan Almond also set personal bests in both the one-meter and three-meter dive events. Almond earned a score of 145.58 in the one-meter prelims before finishing the one-meter finals with a score of 142.09. Almond's score of 145.58 in the prelims is now a personal best for the junior diver. Almond went on to earn another personal best score in the three-meter dive with a score of 147.98.
Liv Pattimore competed in her second meet as a Bulldog and also earned a personal best in the one-meter dive. Pattimore earned a score of 117.23 in the one-meter prelims before wrapping up with a score of 105.68 in the finals. Her prelim score of 117.23 is now the highest the junior has earned in her collegiate career.

UNC Asheville will return to the pool next weekend for their Senior Day celebration as they host North Florida, Saturday, January 25.
