RADFORD, Va. – UNC Asheville women's basketball will travel to Radford, Va. for a 4:30 p.m., matchup with the Highlanders, Saturday, January 11, inside the Dedmon Center.

UNC Asheville currently sits atop the Big South standings after opening conference play with a 4-1 record. The Bulldogs are currently on a three game win streak as they have one game remaining in their four games in eight days stretch. The Bulldogs current win streak comes after defeating Campbell and USC Upstate earlier this week before taking down High Point Thursday night.

In Thursday night's victory against High Point, UNC Asheville defeated High Point 76-60 inside Kimmel Arena. A huge third quarter, where the Bulldogs outscored the Panthers 24-8, propelled UNC Asheville to victory. Sonora Dengokl scored a season-high 26 points while shooting 75% from the field and scoring 10 points in two separate quarters. Dengokl's 26 points are the most scored by a Bulldog this season and the most she has scored since her 36 point game against USC Upstate a year ago.  Nadiria Evans scored 17 points while also scoring 10 points in a single quarter. Brooke Jordan-Brown secured 16 rebounds, the second most she has corralled in a game this season.

Radford is 2-2 in the Big South Conference this season. They opened conference play with two victories at home versus Presbyterian and Charleston Southern. The Highlanders have since dropped two straight in the last five days as they fell to High Point, 68-58, and Hampton, 51-48, both on the road.

Radford holds the advantage in the all-time series 55-23. Last season, the Bulldogs fell to the Highlanders in all three matchups, including the semifinal game of the Big South Championships. In the 2017-18 season the Bulldogs took two of three from
Radford and defeated the Highlanders in the semifinal game of the Big South Championships.

The Bulldogs will next take on Charleston Southern in a 6 p.m. matchup, Tuesday, January 14, inside Kimmel Arena.
