UNC Asheville Golf Wraps Up Day One of Starmount Fall Classic

GREENSBORO N.C. – UNC Asheville's women's golf team completed 36 holes of competition, Monday, at the Starmount Fall Classic, hosted by UNC Greensboro.

Senior Adelyn Deery led the way for the Bulldogs, carding a 79 in each of her first two rounds to sit in a tie for 33rd on the individual leaderboard. With her performances, Monday, Deery has shot sub-80 in each of her past four rounds.

Following behind Deery, senior Kellen Alsip is in a tie for 40th after scoring 80 in each of here two rounds, while Baylee Evans carded 82 in each of her first two rounds.

As a team, the Bulldogs currently sit at 10th place in the event. After the first round of play, they were two strokes behind ninth place Winthrop, but have quite a bit of ground to make up after the second round.

The final 18 holes will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Starmount Country Club, with live scoring via Golfstat available HERE.
