Bulldogs Stay in State to Compete in Starmount Fall Classic

GREENSBORO N.C. – UNC Asheville's women's golf team will stay in North Carolina for its second tournament of the young season when it heads to the Starmount Fall Classic, hosted by UNC Greensboro, Monday and Tuesday.
The 54-hole event takes place at the Starmount Country Club, and will feature 36 holes of competition beginning at 8:30 a.m., Monday, with the final 18 holes to take place Tuesday.
The Bulldogs will begin the event grouped with North Carolina A&T and Big South Conference member Winthrop, teeing off from Holes 10-13 to start the day. Also participating in the tournament are the host Spartans, along with Towson, UAB, William & Mary as well as Big South members Radford, Longwood and Presbyterian.
The Bulldogs began their 2019-20 campaign two weeks ago when they participated in the Morehead State Greenbrier Invitational, finishing sixth in the field of nine teams. Kellen Alsip completed the event as the Bulldogs' highest finisher, placing 19th, while Adelyn Deery and Janie Thomas finished 21st and 22nd, respectively.
