ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team closed out its Senior Day celebration by shutting out Hampton 7-0 in dominant fashion at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown on Saturday afternoon.

"I'm happy for the win today. The guys did a good job," UNC Asheville men's tennis head coach Tom Hand said. "They came out and didn't have anything other than the sense of urgency that the situation required. We have now put ourselves in a situation to do something special with the chance to compete for a conference championship. We have worked extremely hard to put ourselves in this spot and we are looking forward to seeing if we can finish the job."
