The first day of the championship started with a well over three-hour rain delay that forced a late start to the opening round.

Before play was officially suspended in the second round the Bulldogs had moved up to ninth place and Evans had moved into the top-25.

The second round of the Big South Women's Golf Championship resumes at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the completion of the round and the hopes to start and finish the third round.
