Bulldogs Remain Undefeated With Win Versus Wofford

SPARTANBURG S.C. – UNC Asheville men's tennis defeated Wofford 6-1 in a road match on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are now 10-0 on the spring season.
Henry Patten and Oli Nolan improved to 7-0 on the season with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Olly Cull and Sirawit Daosaengsawang followed with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 to claim the doubles point. The match at No. 3 was left unfinished.
In singles, Cull, at No. 5, and Daosaengsawang, at No. 4, would put UNC Asheville up 3-0 early with their dominating performances. Cull would win 7-5, 6-2, while Daosaengsawang would win 6-4, 6-3. Leo Bierbaum would claim the fourth victory at No. 6 to clinch the 10th straight win for the Bulldogs.
The only match the Bulldogs would drop came at No. 2. Patten is now 6-0 on the season after a victory over Julian Chousa at No. 1, while sophomore, Charlie Morkel, improved to 6-1 with his three-set victory at No. 3.
The Bulldogs will take a week off before they look to carry their dominance into a five match, seven-day road trip March 9-15. The Bulldogs will compete against College of Charleston, FAU, Stetson, FGCU and Boston University.Â
